RF (Hand-held) Technology
Sales Order Processing
- Store order picking – handheld picking program for transfer sales, includes items to be transferred from one store to another.
- Handheld picking program allows operators to specify a transfer sale to be selected. Operator can quickly scroll through the items to be picked by aisle location. Once an item is displayed, operator scans the product for verification, enters quantity being picked and enters box number product is going into.
- Information is updated directly to the transfer sale. When the picking is completed, the picked information is automatically transmitted to the requesting store where the associated purchase order is modified in preparation for receiving.
- The shipper's gatehouse processing system allows the yardman to record the date and time an order enters and leaves the yard directly on the order. The date/time stamp associated with the order can be used to force a valid date/time of clearing the yard in order to complete processing of the sale. The date/time stamp can be entered either manually or with a handheld RF device.
- Phase-2 of the gatehouse processing system will handle more accurately dealing with partial shipments, line-by-line. Phase-3 will enable the initiation of refund tickets to be processed further in the store.
